About the Job
We are looking for a talented researcher and long-form YouTube scriptwriter to create compelling scripts about UNTOLD MYSTERIES.
Our channel will focus on fascinating stories that most people have never heard about — unexplained events, forgotten mysteries, strange disappearances, lost civilizations, mysterious places, hidden historical events, unusual discoveries, unexplained phenomena, and unresolved cases.
We want stories that make viewers think:
“How have I never heard of this before?”
WHAT WE NEED:
• Research completely original and lesser-known mystery topics.
• Investigate the story using credible sources and available evidence.
• Write full-length YouTube scripts with strong storytelling and narrative flow.
• Create an irresistible opening hook that immediately creates curiosity.
• Build suspense throughout the story without using fake or exaggerated claims.
• Present facts, evidence, theories, and unanswered questions clearly.
• Distinguish confirmed information from speculation, rumors, and theories.
• Include important details, timelines, people, locations, and discoveries.
• End with a thought-provoking conclusion that leaves viewers thinking about the mystery.
TYPES OF STORIES WE ARE INTERESTED IN:
• Unsolved disappearances
• Forgotten historical mysteries
• Lost civilizations
• Ancient discoveries
• Mysterious deaths
• Missing ships, planes, and expeditions
• Strange archaeological discoveries
• Secret locations and forgotten places
• Unexplained historical events
• Unusual scientific mysteries
• Mysterious documents and artifacts
• Hidden stories from history
• Unresolved investigations
• Strange phenomena
• Mysteries surrounding famous places or events
We are NOT looking for generic “Top 10 Mysteries” articles rewritten into scripts.
We want ORIGINAL, deeply researched stories with strong narrative potential.
SCRIPT REQUIREMENTS:
Each completed script should generally be suitable for a 15–30+ minute YouTube video, depending on the story.
A strong script should contain:
1. A powerful opening hook
2. A compelling introduction to the mystery
3. Background and historical context
4. A chronological or investigative narrative
5. Important evidence and discoveries
6. Different theories and explanations
7. Surprising details and turning points
8. Clearly identified unanswered questions
9. A memorable conclusion
The writing should feel like a high-quality documentary: cinematic, atmospheric, conversational, and easy to listen to.
APPLICATION TASK:
Please submit 2–3 original mystery topics that you believe would make excellent long-form YouTube videos.
For ONE of your topics, provide:
• Proposed title
• Opening hook
• Brief story summary
• Main mystery/question
• Key sources you would research
• Major theories
• A detailed video outline
• 500–1,000 words of your proposed script
We care more about originality, research quality, storytelling ability, and curiosity than simply choosing a famous mystery.
If you can uncover extraordinary stories that most people have never heard of — and turn them into unforgettable YouTube documentaries — we'd love to work with you.
This can become an ongoing opportunity for the right writer.
